How might we help James read his favourite novels ?
We met James at St Joseph Villa at Dundas, Hamilton Ontario. James has to be inclined at an angle of 45 degree for over 8 hours in a day, everyday, every year. He misses the use of his hands especially to read his favourite Stephen King novels. James worked with us at every step To help develop a prototype BY giving us valuable information during interviews, learning insights to testing out our ideas SO THAT he can hold and flip the pages of his novels.
I specifically participated in the ideation and brainstorming process and developing early paper prototypes and also designed the presentation. Our measurement for criteria was our client being able to read his favourite Stephen king’s novels on his own with no external help.
Skills: User research, Journey mapping, story boarding, sketching, paper prototyping.
Tools used: Google sheets, Google docs, Microsoft PowerPoint, Sketching, paper & pencil, Cardboard.
